Colleges Being Asked To Offer Flexibility For Students Impacted By the Colorado Floods

Were you impacted by the flooding in Colorado and applying to college? If so, you may want to contact your colleges.

Many students in and around the Boulder area sadly had damage to their home, property, and to their personal possessions. As well, many schools and community based organizations that help students with their applications had damage and were closed for a period of time. This unfortunate act of mother nature has taken both a physical and emotional toll for many and has added to an already stressful time for many students as it is in the midst of the college admissions process, and college application deadlines are looming.

If the damage to your home is preventing you from getting your college applications in by the early deadlines you may want to communicate with the schools you are applying to and let them know. The National Association for College Admission Counseling is urging colleges and universities to offer some flexibility with their deadlines for students who were impacted by the floods.
